Why Hire A Professional Pet Sitter?
The benefits are numerous for your pet(s) when it comes to having a pet sitter come into your home and lovingly care for them. They will remain in the comfort of their own home thus reducing stress of being in unfamiliar surroundings and their daily routine is kept as normal as possible while you are away. Travel trauma is eliminated as they do not need to be taken to a kennel and your pets exposure to disease is greatly minimized. Most importantly, your pet receives lots of love and attention in your absence.
There are also many benefits for you, the owner, to hire a pet sitter. You no longer have the inconvenience of having to transport your pet(s) to the kennel and your pet(s) will happily greet you at the door upon your arrival. You will not need to impose on family, friends, or neighbors to care for your pet(s) and you can rest assured knowing that your home and your pet(s) are being well taken care of in your absence. | How Our Service Works When you call Elite Pet Service, a free initial consultation will be scheduled so that you have a chance to meet us and we can meet you and your pet(s). At this appointment we will gather detailed information on how to care for your pet(s) and your home and we will collect a copy of your house key. This consultation will take approximately 30 minutes to one hour. If you are a new client please try to make your reservations at least one week in advance so that we have enough time to meet for a consultation before you are scheduled to leave town.
Each visit includes but is not limited to: - Feed your pet(s) as directed
- Provide fresh drinking water
- Administer any medications/vitamins
- Take your dog out for potty breaks
- Take your dog for a walk if that is a part of their daily routine
- Scoop the litter box as needed
- Clean up any pet messes
- Give your pet(s) lots of love and attention
Additional Services for Your Peace of Mind: - We will collect your mail/newspaper
- Take out and collect your garbage can
- Water your indoor plants
- Alternate the television/radio
- Adjust your blinds/curtains and lights to give your home that "lived-in" appearance
- Transport your pet(s) to the veterinarian in the case of an emergency
- Handle any home emergencies that may arise

No Additional Charges Apply | Overnight visits include AM and PM care and are from 10 PM until 6:30 AM.
Our policy requires that dogs have a minimum of 2-3 visits per day and cats or other small caged animals have a minimum of 1 visit per day.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often do you visit my pet?
You decide how many visits your pet(s) will need. However, we do require that dog's have 2-3 visits each day and cat's or other small caged animals have 1 visit each day.
When is payment due?
Payment in full is due at time of reservation. Reservations are not held until payment in full is received by Elite Pet Service or special arrangements are agreed upon by both parties in writing. There is no additional charge for holidays. However, a surcharge of $10 per visit will be accessed for visits that fall on a holiday with less then 48 hours notice. There is a $30 fee for all returned checks.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation Charge Schedule effective 1/1/2006 (% applies to entire service period total): 0 - 48 hours prior to any service: Payment in full is charged (no refunds) 2 - 7 days prior to service: 20% of service total is due (equals an 80% refund) 8 days prior to service or more: No charge, refund in full.
The only exception to this policy is for holiday payments. Holiday payment is 100% refunded if you give at least a two week notice. It is 50% refunded if you give at least one week's notice. It is not refunded if less then one week's notice is given.
Reservations are made to plan sitter availability to clients. Therefore, clients returning home early will be required to pay for the reserved amount of time scheduled.
The following days are considered holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
What are your rates? Please see the Our Rates section above. Other fees are as follows:
Re-stocking Fee: Please have enough food, litter, medicine, etc., for your pet(s) while you are away. If we need to re-stock any items there is a $10.00 fee charged.
Key Pick-Up or Return Fee: If you choose not to let us keep a copy of your house key and we need to pick up or return it to you there is a $8 fee charged for each pick-up or return. Please under no circumstances should you leave your door unlocked or a key outside. This ensures the safety of your pets, home, and us.
Late Night Visit Fee: An additional fee of $5 is charged for each visit scheduled after 9 pm.
Are you certified in Pet First Aid and CPR?
Yes, we are certified through the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid and CPR and we also carry a pet first aid emergency kit with us at all times.
What if my pet has an emergency while I am away?
We will transport your pet to your veterinarian when possible. If your veterinarian's office is closed we will transport your pet to a 24 hour emergency veterinarian office of your choice. Once your pet has been transported and is being cared for by medical personnel we will contact you immediately.
What is your "Key Keep" program?
Our "Key Keep" program allows us to securely keep a copy of your house key. This saves you from having to pay the key pick-up and drop-off fees, saves us the travel time to pick up and drop off your key, and adds the convenience of our staff being able to get back into your home to care for your pets if you are delayed from returning home. If we had locked your key inside your house on the last service visit we wouldn't be able to do so. We will also be able to come to your home and unlock your door for you in the case of a lockout for a small $10 fee.
This program is optional and you may withdraw your key at any time by notifying us.
All keys are marked with alphanumeric codes that do not identify your name, pets names, or address.
Do you offer House Sitting?
Yes we do offer house sitting for client's that do not have any pets but want to be sure that their home is secure in their absence. At every visit Elite Pet Service will check and secure all windows and doors, collect your mail/newspaper, take out and collect your garbage cans, water your indoor plants, alternate television/radio, adjust your blinds/curtains and lights to give your home that "lived-in" appearance, and handle and notify you of any home emergencies that may arise such as burst pipes, storm damage, etc.
You'll be able to rest easier knowing that your home is made more secure by having us visit it while you are away.
House Sitting Rates are $11.00 Per Visit. One visit per day is required.
